Meet the people who said what you said.
Lotus is a number you text. One odd question a day, then a small Thursday hangout with the people who gave your answer. Afterwards, it only tells you if it's mutual.
One question a day. Odd on purpose, answerable in three words.
How a Thursday happens
One odd question a day.
Answer by text, in your own words. Or text Lotus a plan of your own and it sets it up. Skip a day and nothing happens.
A few people who said what you said, in one place on campus.
You open with the thing you share. Lotus plans it; you show up.
Say who you'd see again.
It's only shared if they said you too. If they didn't, nothing happens. No one gets rejected, nothing gets awkward.
a bot, and it says so 18+, with a school email your number is never shown only mutual answers are shared one text reports anyone
Lotus says it's a bot in its first message and never writes a message for you. Introductions happen through Lotus, so nobody sees your number, email or birthday. A reported person is paused at once, and a person reads every report.
How texting works
Lotus is a text-message service run by a UC Berkeley student for adults 18 and over at Berkeley. You join by texting JOIN to the Lotus number from your own phone and replying Y to confirm. Nobody is added from a list or a form. After that, Lotus sends replies to what you text, up to one optional question a day, and the plans you join: the invitation, the spot, a reminder that day, and the private question the morning after.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out at any time.
